Dominic Benavides
Dominic Benavides was raised in Auburn, Washington, where the values of hard work, discipline, and accountability were instilled in him through football, family, and community from an early age. As an offensive lineman in high school, Benavides developed a deep and enduring respect for the toughness, sacrifice, and selflessness demanded of those who compete in the trenches—values he now passes on with conviction to the Gators’ offensive line.
Drawing from a professional background in social work, Dominic brings a uniquely people-centered coaching approach to the field—one that prioritizes the whole person over the player. His philosophy is built around discipline, mentorship, resilience, and the development of strong young men who carry themselves with integrity on and off the field. As he steps into his first direct coaching role with the Golden Gators, Benavides is committed to building a culture within the offensive line grounded in effort, trust, physicality, and brotherhood. His goal is not simply to develop skilled blockers, but to send young men into the world equipped with the character, confidence, and work ethic to succeed long after football is over. Outside of coaching, Dominic enjoys golf, time behind the grill, and building memories with family and friends.
