Girls Flag Football

The girls flag football team at Decatur High School is quickly becoming one of the most exciting emerging programs in Federal Way athletics. In its inaugural seasons, the Golden Gators have already built a reputation for toughness, athleticism, and grit. The team posted a 10-win season in its first year.

As girls flag football continues to grow statewide and nationally, Decatur has embraced the movement with energy and pride. The program has created new opportunities for female athletes to compete, lead, and represent their school in one of the fastest-growing high school sports in the country. With strong community support, increasing visibility through local coverage and livestreams, and a culture centered on teamwork and resilience, the Golden Gators are helping put Federal Way girls flag football on the map.
