Coach Zechariah “Riah” Siva represents the next generation of Decatur High School football leadership — a former standout player who immediately chose to give back to the program that helped shape him. A graduate of the Class of 2021, Siva established himself as one of the most decorated and versatile linemen in recent Decatur history, earning All-League recognition on both the offensive and defensive lines during his playing career. His ability to dominate in the trenches on both sides of the ball made him one of the defining players of his era and helped set the physical standard for the program’s rise within the NPSL.

Known throughout his playing career for his toughness, physicality, and relentless motor, Siva became a cornerstone of the Gators during a critical turning point in the program’s development. His versatility and football IQ allowed Decatur to rely on him in multiple roles, and his leadership helped establish the identity of the team’s offensive and defensive fronts. Local coverage and league recognition during his career consistently highlighted his impact as one of the premier linemen in the South Sound during Decatur’s emergence as a playoff contender.

Immediately following his playing career, Coach Siva joined the Decatur coaching staff in 2021 and quickly became an important part of the Gators’ offensive line development. Despite being early in his coaching career, he has already helped mentor multiple All-League offensive linemen while reinforcing the physical, disciplined style of play that has become synonymous with Decatur football. His recent playing experience gives him a unique ability to connect with student-athletes and teach the position with authenticity and credibility.

As an offensive line coach, Siva emphasizes technique, leverage, communication, and toughness in the trenches. Players respond to his detailed teaching style and the energy he brings to practices every day. Because he recently experienced the demands of competing at Decatur himself, he understands both the physical and mental challenges offensive linemen face and uses that perspective to help develop confident, accountable players.
